Mathematically, the double stack + son of baconator would be the better calorie for price.
So a $3.50 double stack + a $2.30 junior hamburger comes out to about $3.50 total for both burgers.
Remember, Wendy's allows adding extra lettuce and tomato for free.
Offer didn't show up in my app on iphone, but the offer did appear in a browser after signing in to my Wendys account. I made the purchase in a browser on my phone.

But you are paying more than the deal saved you.
Mathematically, the double stack + son of baconator would be the better calorie for price.
This deal, one can get two items for a little more than $3, which would mean more caloric value for the price paid (740, which is another way to gauge portion size of food one is getting for the price). This deal beats it.
740/3.19 = 231 calories per $1 spend
630/3 = 210 calories per $1 spend
Now, of course, if the prices are higher wherever you are, this could easily be skewed because the limiting factor is the $3. So if the overall price of the two items for this deal is greater than $3.52...
Also, you theory is flawed in the sense of caloric value for price paid because you are not taking into account quality of the calorie (and how filling it is). A large drink may give you the calories but it is purely based on sugar which is not only bad for you, but doesn't fill you up as a meal compared to a son of baconator. Fries is similar (but not as bad as a drink), because much of the calories in fries is the oil it is fried in, not just the carbs from the potatoes.
