The key of this deal is that although it is an entry M2 from Apple, it now has 16 gb of memory instead of the 8 gb that the M1's have. I have a nice M1, but the memory warnings come several times a day - it's just NOT enough memory. This is the best price/performance Air of all time. At least I think...
If you were in the market for a MBA then YES. If you're just tire kicking....there's going to always be a better deal around October as a pre-black friday sale
If you notice, Apple always sells its products with ATLEAST one specification and feature that is 5-10 years old technology. It's like selling a dozen strawberries with atleast a couple of them rotten but nobody can help it but buy!
This is for the analogy behind the 256 GB SSD. They wish they could use a 128 GB SSD, but I guess they are no longer in production anywhere..š

Update: I just realized this link is making the price higher even though it's showing me less.
So I went and repeated the process I did to get the lower price and for me it was by going to the 13 inch Microsoft surface laptop page then scrolling a little below details it's showing me "similar product" ad for the 13 in m2 air 16 256 but with a base price of $799 and a $250 coupon in the page. Idk if this is an ad just for me so YMMV

Frankly it's a bit of a joke apple doesn't offer more memory for a small fee. Kinda insane to have to pay 300$ more for 512gb
