Good deal… this doesn't work for quantities two and above. Only three dollars for a second.

This model is terrible at filtering PFOAS, worse than the regular Britta model per testing I've seen, about 40%. We have it, but switched to Epicwater. However, the Epic filters are mad expensive!

No, I think it's other way around? See pasted below. This is the main reason that motivates me to get this elite filter while having already bought the regular filtes for the next couple years from costco. The net cost per month is about the same, if you factor in the duration of use and per unit cost. However, from the test that I've seen, this elite filter has better filtration and is actually certified to filter more stuff (including PFOA) than the regular filter.
"The standard Brita filter is not certified for the removal of PFOS or PFOA. But the Brita Elite Filter is certified to filter forever chemicals—specifically PFOS and PFOA—in drinking water under NSF/ANSI 53."

Oh wow I assumed it would be better as it claims to filter more contaminants than the regular. Thanks for letting me know

FYI, Brita doesn't claim significant reduction of PFAS in their filters, or at least they're not rated to remove enough to qualify under the NSF 53 standard. Here is their testing sheet for these elite filters: https://www.brita.com/wp-content/...color2.pdf

Edit: I just saw your other comment. The Elite filters definitely remove significantly more contaminants than their standard filters, it's just not efficient at PFAS.

Edit2: Disregard. Someone pointed me to the latest data sheet which shows a significant reduction in PFAS.

if you're a fan, i'm happy for you. I'm not trying to yuck anyone's yum but zero water is far too aggressive at stripping out all "impurities" and you start to lose mineral deposits which actually help you remain hydrated. If your water is absolutely wretched, then by all means, be as aggressive as possible, but for most zero water is far too much filtering for problems that don't exist.

I have an RO system that lowers the tap water to around 10 TDS, then I put it in a ZeroWater filter to bring it down to 0. I don't know if it's the difference between 10 TDS vs 0 TDS, or if ZeroWater is adding some kind of magic to the water. After the water goes through ZeroWater, it tastes much better. It's like having a flat taste, similar to distilled water. However, I still use a Brita filter for my fish tank, since it's bad for the tank to run with too low a TDS. I try to keep the tank around 100 TDS by mixing Brita water and RO water

That looks like an outdated sheet. Look at the one posted here:
