it says it has the blood oxygen sensor but I thought Apple disabled this feature?
The O2 sensor is disabled because of an International Trade Court ruling and it applies to all watches imported after a certain point in time, basically end of 2023. If a watch was brought into the US before that date the sensor is enabled in software. So this could be a tranche that was brought in before that point, could be Amazon farking up the description. I'd call the first possibility less likely if this wasn't the lower-selling higher-end model.
You gotta really want stainless and the POSSIBILITY of having the O2 sensor working to pay essentially the same as the series 10 today. Frankly I'd take the series 10 over the 9 any day
Stainless is worth it. The sapphire crystal glass is a huge upgrade in itself

This does have blood oxygen enabled.
"Apple says that new watches with blood oxygen disabled have part numbers that end with the string 'LW/A'."
This was manufactured before blood oxygen had to be disabled.
My understanding is that the series nine and 10 and ultra watches don't have it enabled, only the series before like 6,7,8. IMHO its not very reliable and to me not super crucial. I have an 8 and it works but if i didnt it likely would not stop me from getting a 9 or 8. Woot had the 7 or 8 series in steel for sub 300 a few days back. Definitely recommend the stainless steel models. If you are patient there is always an older model sub 400 a few times a year. I got the 8 steel for 299 from walmart in the fall and could not be happier.
Not much reason to upgrade if you have a 5 or better already. The 4 is getting slow now but still works as a fitness tracker.

My series 9 I bought late last year has BO enabled.
Although I don't use it.

Ah, OK, that's good to know. So it must be indeed more be based on sales/import date. Hard to know then what you get when you buy one of these, can only hope they come out of deep storage. ;-)
