We're all addicted to yellow x-40s... no reason to discount anymore.

Bought at this price a few months ago. Still have all 12. Not because I'm cheap and don't offer to use them at rec play, but everybody who said they don't have a ball miraculously pulls out a yellow X40 when my ember one gets offered.

Best pickleball purchase ever

Novice question: Why is ember not a desirable color for play?

It's so funny how many folks complain about the Ember. Sometimes they even inspect it then say they prefer to use X40. LOL. Someone should do a study on unathletic pickleballers and colorblindness....must be a correlation Smilie

I find the ember balls easier to track due to the contrast with the environment. It does stick out and that may be enough to alter people's preferences just like colors people tend to wear.

It's like fluorescent yellow for tennis balls, players are so accustomed to the yellow ones

The color doesn't pop as much as the yellow one
