PS5 has NG2 Black. Rather wait for a better deal on that.

The best deal is the OG NG2 on Xbox. It's the best version hands down, rather than than NGS2 masquerading as NG2B.

That said, this is a deal for PC....

I bought it and played the first sigma so far. It definitely shows its age. It probably was great for its era. For me, its just not up to today's standards.
Edit.
I felt the need to update this so I don't steer anyone away from this great series. The combat system, variety on weapons and the way it makes you feel like a ninja has no comparison even in today's games. I should have been specific. The freaking camera and just directional movement shows its age. Thats what I meant when compared to todays standard combat RPG games.

I bought it a while back on the switch and it was worth it to me. There hasn't been a game to match it imo but I don't think most gamers want that anyway. I never played the Playstation versions either so that was a bonus to me. Still has the long load times for checkpoints that drives me crazy when I'm dieing consistently on Master Ninja though as well as the fixed save points but playing it on a new generation console where you can put it in standby alleviates Some of that annoyance.

I agree with you for the most part. The camera, save system, and interface are very much of their time, however, the combat itself still holds up. I still have yet to find a combat system that feels as satisfying and empowering as the one in this series.

The hardest enemy in these games was the camera. I don't think that's necessarily that bad because you're supposably the world's greatest ninja so you better grow that extra sense.

Supposably. Supposably?

This is the craziest comment I have seen in a while on here… what standards are you talking about? This series is all about f*ck standards lol

FWIW, I remember playing Sigma on the PS3 and thinking, at the time, that it still held up pretty well as far as gameplay mechanics.

The thing that frustrated me more than anything was just the stupid difficulty. I played the original Ninja Gaiden on the Xbox, I played Ninja Gaiden Black, and Sigma just seemed like it wanted to amp up the difficulty even more by throwing an arbitrarily large number of enemies at you at any given moment, such that Hayabusa doesn't seem to have time to do anything but block, roll, and Flying Swallow attack before he's hit by 15 enemy ninjas, 5 soldiers with machine guns, and an attack helicopter, all right outside of a save room.

I have played the original, and yes, I remember the stupid birds that would fly at you while you're in the middle of making a platform jump, causing you to fall to your death.

Hence-Game Genie- one of the few games I used it on. I can't believe ANYONE can beat that last level without it

Watch a speed run of the game, and see how easily they deal with those birds.
