Something to keep in mind. The 83" G3 does not have MLA.
Keep in mind the G3 does not have MLA at this size. Only size that does not have MLA in the G3 series. At this point, maybe just wait for G4 if you can…? With that being said I have an 83 inch C3 and love it.

Bro just get Apple TV
Who still using internal apps on TVs

Wait, why get an external streaming device when they're all built in. I mean I do have one of those sbox things that gets everything free, but other than that. Why would I want an apple or roku? It's just another device another remote for no reason.

I'm just curious if anyone else has issues with prime and LG OLEDs

In my experience everything is much smoother. The external streaming device processor is better than the internal tv one. Apps smoother, audio and video better.

I went from a 83 C3 to a 77 G4 and I wish I didn't. Maybe if you ABSOLUTELY need the extra brightness sure, but I'd rather have the bigger size.

So I just got my 83" B4 delivered today from the Costco deal, saw this go up. Do I return to Costco and go for this one? Is the extra warranty from Costco better/worse vs mfg warranty for the g3? I think the G3 is brighter than the B4 (but is it significant?), and has a better antennae. Am I missing anything?

I'm in the same shoes! Is it worth it to return b4 w 5 year warranty to Costco and get the g3?

I got this TV last year for $3299, this is a great value at $600 less. It's brighter than my previous LED that was 8 years old, so not having MLA is not a concern. It has a Nextgen ATSC 3.0 Tuner to get HDR over the air which the G4 does not have due to licensing. It's a wall mount, and while it came with a mount only, no legs, and I bought a fully articulating wall mount to use instead. The picture is stunning, but I use my Nvidia shield instead of the webos, mainly because it's not very customizable. This is the largest OLED tv you can buy that is under $20k like the 98in and 100in monsters that are still not affordable.

Not sure if this helps you, but I decided to order the G3 on amazon. It'll be here tomorrow and plan to return the B4 this weekend. Reasons:
  1. RTings shows the brightness is normally higher than that of the C4. Which the C4 is brighter than the B4.
  2. I saw a review of the 77 vs 83 G3, while in many cases the 77 (w/ MLA) CAN get brighter. In a lot of content not in 10k nits, both seemed pretty similar in picture production. In some ways the slightly dimmer G3 provided a deeper image. AKA it's pretty bright, looks great, and MLA would be good if you really really need the brightness.
  3. Warranty seemed about a wash, with a slight edge maybe for Costco.
  4. ATSC 3.0 tuner is a plus.
  5. I plan to mount on the wall, so a flush lay flat was a plus.

TV arrived from Walmart last night with a busted screen, looks like someone hit the box with a forklift. Walmart will only refund, not replace, so that's annoying. Should have went with the Amazon deal.

My TV arrived broken too. I tried to get a replacement and they only want to refund. I tried for about 1 hour. I also had to pay the the AV guy to put the tv on the wall too. If you get a better solution, please let me know.

Ordered the G3 for similar reasons. Didn't need number 5 point due to pre-existing mount (uneven river rock stone). The TV has been a nice upgrade from the 77 C3, subtle but noticeable brightness increase. Amazon's delivery service was simple and smooth.
