Highly recommended. I have these sticks in my ASUS ROG raprop and it was a game changer up from 16GB.

1R or 2R?

This matters for different CPUs.

For those that are buying this, what are you doing with your laptop that you need 64 GB of RAM? I use a system at work (building FPGA bitstreams) that has 512 GB of RAM, so I understand there's applications where you need more, but my gaming rig at home has 16 GB of RAM. I would think that people doing work where large amounts of RAM are needed would do them on a desktop.

Some NAS servers use laptop memory, and there is a rise of the mini-pcs. I do think that this might be a lot and overkill, but theoretically you can run a few VMs each with up to 100s of containers that are low use and have a low CPU demand.
