Reality check: A lot of people don't need or want "more quantity". I live alone and I'm not going to buy an entire loaf of tomato basil miche bread (that Costco indeed does not have), Costco tomatoes, Costco arugula mix, Costco garlic aioli, and Costco bacon… just to make one sandwich…

I'll happily pay my 8 bucks or whatever for a tasty and filling tomato basil BLT every once in a while for a light lunch, prepared for me with no additional kitchen cleanup required.

E-Gift Card took 15 minutes to arrive. Adding it to my app took less than a minute. Good stuff. Thank you. Thumbs up, OP!

The food is 20% more expensive, you can make the same stuff from Costco for cheaper and more quantity.

If you bought it with a credit card, maybe you can dispute 3 of them? That is something I have always worried about, since they get stored online, and your "login" at the register is just a phone number, no verification. That is why I always use the app, vs kiosk or register, where people can see or overhear.

The sandwiches are pretty good and HUGE.
Paradoxically, the portion size of what you get in restaurants is often larger because then they're able to charge more and make you feel like you got your money's worth.
For example, when you buy a salad for $15, you get a party bowl of salad, not a personal bowl.

I never store any GCs in online accounts unless there is a 2FA for redemption. I rather enter them each time. I know it's a hassle but better than getting stolen. Places like Staples, Panera, they make you uttering out the phone numbers associate with the account in public. What can possibly go wrong when you have tons of rewards points or a GC in it.

Having bought a JJ sub (6") for $16 last week, Panera is better AND CHEAPER!
Heftier IMO.

Regardless, I would rather not spend more than $14 for a 12" sub or equivalent quantity.

I steer away from eGiftcards in general after loosing one I purchased from Famous Footwear, that I lost (I think I deleted the email a few times), and could not get either re-issued or refunded. The company was also silent when I reached out to them. I feel more safe with a physical card purchase.

I'm more in the e-gift card camp because I do not like having to remember to carry around a gift card for whatever place it is I may go to eat. Also the security risks.

If you have a password manager or notes app on your phone that you can use to quickly access it makes for a great spot to use with the app. Oh, and Panera app specifically lets you save the gift card directly to your account so no need to worry about carrying one around or looking outside the app.

Just something to consider. ✌️

Thanks for this! The soufflés are my kryptonite as is that tomato basil bread and the cinnamon crunch/asiago bagels. Used to do the corporate bagel order every Thursday and they let me keep the reward points. Just got 200.00 worth of e-gift lol
