How does the suction compare to a shark rocket? my problem with buying Dyson is they're a mainstream apple-tier brand that nobody who actually knows anything about vacuums would ever recommend (usually). but consumers that aren't "vacuum savvy" think Dyson is a top brand. not throwing shade but it's hard to make an informed decision on this brand when you're aware of that dichotomy. you don't want to buy crap but you also don't really need a $1000 vacuum either. yall get me?

Costco has a thing if they drop the price within 30 days they give you the difference back. I'm sure Sam's may do the same

For $1,000+, not including disposables like bags it had better be good.
Will stick with my dysons

This just isn't true, it's a conclusion you drew. Let's get something straight, apple makes great products. Dyson, likewise, makes great products. The Dyson vacuums are far better than shark (have them both), and they are also more expensive. Only you can decide if the extra money for the Dyson is worth it. It depends on your situation and disposable income. The Dyson vacuum I'm using has lasted almost 20 years. Every other brand I've had hasn't even come close. Am I a "vacuum expert"? No, and frankly, I don't know who is, that's a bizarre title. I'm just a consumer who needs to clean the house. No clue what that makes me.

But for every 1 Dyson "complainer" you find online, there are 20 happy customers. They just don't generally come online to defend a vacuum.

Our Dyson animal has worked great for years. There's probably something better, at a cost. But maybe it's not better.
