The 30" x 19", which is what this is, regularly goes on sale (or with coupon) for $10. Because of that, this deal is lukewarm.

Is it even worthwhile to build your own anymore? Sure you could use higher quality materials, but hardly seems worth it.

I don't think so, seeing that castor wheels alone cost around $2 a piece at least... I've purchased the smaller dolly from HF just for the castor wheels.

Price the wheels (casters) to know your answer. That being said it depends what you use it for. Lets say you get this and destoy the wheels you need a higher quality one and you could source better wheels.

I love mine and wish I bought more.(I bought dirt cheap Menards one, so I make no claims to this one)

Just a comment on how ridiculously handy these are when you actually need them. Whether you get this one or a different one...this is totally worth $10 or so to have on hand the few times it will be used.
