I will offer a counterpoint to the virtues of this product. I tried this exact version a few years ago direct from the company and sent it back. The cooling function really isn't cooling as much as it is pumping ambient air from the floor into the sheets. That may or may not be cooler air depending on the region you live in and how humid your air is. I've actually setup a fan next to my bed on hot nights with a small gap exposed at the bottom of the sheet and felt like it was the same experience albeit not as much air flow. I'm not going to dispute whether Bed Jet helps people or not as it either does or does not create a better night sleep but I just could not get on-board for the price point and lack of real cooling. I also felt like the marketing was a bit disengenious. Lastly, I have also grown fond of the feel of a heavy weighted blanket which this product tends to create the opposite. I'm not sure it would be very easy to DIY a replacement (at least the remote control) but I believe they mentioned on the company's Shark Tank debut that it cost a whopping $98 to make the product. Just sharing my two cents and experience with the product.

The force is strong with you.

Not one person mentioned the fact that you HAVE to leave the sheet hanging off the bed - its not like the air gets pumped in no matter what. I personally like to burrito my feet and legs up with the comforter, so this would never work for me.

Also on a side note - do you feel like conversations on here are happening much less? I used to comment a few times a week and would almost always get a response. Now I feel lke half the stuff I say is shadow banned or something.

I got one of these 4 or 5 years ago. I love it!

Please note that this is not a substitution for an A/C! I found that out the hard way. I went and visited a friend for a weekend, and I remembered the last time I visited for the weekend I roasted and could not sleep. So I brought this with me... I still roasted. They like it warm and their house was warm (no A/C). This does not blow cold air - it will blow the room temperature air. So I could have it set on 65 but it wouldn't get lower than the room temp of 72.

I love it for in the winter with the heat settings. It's very nice!

I don't use the remote anymore - just the app. I found the remote was a battery hog, and it was too easy to bump buttons on it while you slept.

I don't like the sleep timers... it will only allow you to set a schedule based on # of hours, not based on the time. For example, you could have it do cold air on 90% fan for 2 hours, then 50% for 1 hour, then off for 3 hours, then have it turn on heat mode for 30 minutes to help you get out of bed... all good except who goes to bed at the exact same time every day? I'd have much rather be able to set it by the hour.... so say I got up at 6am, I could have it turn on low heat at 5, and get a little warmer until 6am, and then when my alarm goes off the bed is all nice and warm (or cold, however I wanted it).

This is a valid point. GMA's demo made it seem like the unit has an air conditioner in it. It does not. It will only send in air as cool as the room itself, so if you're in a humid environment with hot air and no A/C, it's not giving you air conditioned cold air. It has a heater and a blower. The heater for the winter and the blower for the summer, essentially.

Even with that caveat, it's still a great product for probably 75% of the US that have air conditioning. It's also fantastic for people with memory foam mattresses that SUCK because they retain heat seemingly exponentially through the night. Bedjet keeps that under control and wicks away any sweat that may happen - as long as your room is a reasonable temperature.

Also, you mentioned that they said their cost was $98 on shark tank - that was 10 years ago and it was bedjet 2 (if I remember right). A lot has changed in 10 years, and the bedjet 3 is improved in every way over bedjet2. Plus, you get a great remote with macro abilities instead of the 1960s style spartan-button clicker that came with the bedjet2. Their cost is at least 50% more now, which makes the $244 price even more amazing.

Does is replace AC?
It does not. It has a heater and a blower. So it will heat the bed on demand, but it can only cool the bed as much as the ambient temperature in the room.

Is there something in the middle to "split" it? Asking because cuddles are necessary at night!
Yes, there are two "chambers" on the dual zone cloud sheet, a left and a right side, each with their own entry pockets for discrete bedjets if you want individual temp controls. Or, if you're both of the same mind for bed temps, you can buy the sheet that has only one zone and use a single bedjet.

Anyone knows if it oprate o. 220 volts?
They have a 220 version for outside the US, but I don't think you can switch the US one to 220, you have to buy the 220 version.

To those that have used it, so my wife hates me using a fan at night cause it screws up her allergies. Would this allow me my same fan blowing I desire but under the sheets and thus not blowing a bunch of pollen around? TIA

I have two. I started with some other product BedFan which as everyone stated just takes air from under your bed and shoots it into the covers. At this point I am so used to not really feeling sheets touch me at night to the point it takes a minute to get used to.

The bedjet is a luxury purchase, nobody needs it, you probably won't improve your sleep score. I just like that I can set a routine at 10pm that makes my bed nice and toasty when I get inside it, cool down as I fall asleep, and warm back up in the morning (during the cooler months). Could I just sleep with a thicker blanket or less clothes for the same effect, totally.

There's no real air conditioning like the 8 sleep pod has I think, but it's really in the same category... Something that lets you warm or cool your bed to your preference with technology.

I paid a little more than this price for each of my two and I think they're worth it but YMMV

I am one opinion. there are many. I like it mostly for the heat in the winter. I warm it up like sheets out of dryer when I first get into bed and then have it maintain 70 throughout the night. Saves electricity.
Also, note I cannot have a fan blowing on me all night it dries out my eyes. since this is under the sheets it works for me.

So this is no good for me if I prefer tightly tucked-in sheets? All the pictures I see have the sheets just dangling. Can sheets actually be tucked when using this?
You can still tightly tuck your flat sheet. What we do is the fitted sheet as the base, then the flat sheet, tightly tucked then the cloud sheet, then the bedspread/comforter. That also reduces how often you have to wash the cloud sheet because it's not touching you directly. We wash everything except the cloud sheet when we do the bedding, and then once a month or so do the cloud sheet. It also makes the cloud sheet last longer, we wore out the cloud sheet that we got with our original bedjet.

So you put a blanket on to keep warm, then run a fan under it to keep cool? I don't get it, just wear less blanket for free
Blankets can't wick sweat off you while you sleep. This does that. The airflow wicks moisture off you, keeping you drier if you sweat during the night.

I use ac and a ceiling fan. Don't really see a need for this glorified fan.
(sigh) that will NOT wick away sweat off your body under the covers. It's not the same thing.

Will this cool a king size bed?
Short answer - yes, but you'll need the cloud sheet, either single or dual zone.

There is a filter on the unit, so it's filtering the air it takes in to blow under the covers (protip: remember to CLEAN that filter!). It's not a hepa filter, just a sponge type, but it will do basic filtration.

If you get the dual zone cloud sheet, it will only inflate on your side, which might be what you're looking for.

This reminded me about their "aromatherapy" option. Don't bother. Total waste of time. It's a thin sponge foam piece with a clip that you spritz with aromatherapy oil and clip to the inside of the air port. Easily the worst thing they sell. It's so poorly presented. Total ripoff.

Also, if you don't have one already, take the money you saved with this deal and get a $99 Winix at costco to filter your bedroom air. It has great HEPA filtration and that will solve your room pollen problem.

I purchased one during the last Slickdeal and wouldn't recommend it. One of the units developed an error and stopped working within a week or so. I notified the company and there was no trouble shooting at all, they just automatically sent a replacement. This kind of told me that these units are not very robust so I ended up returning them. My partner also wasn't so keen on it either. Thankfully they do honor the return period with no questions asked
So you would rather spend an hour + on the phone trying to fix an issue rather than just receive a new unit? I guess I see your comment more as a positive than a negative on how the company deals with warranty claims. I'd rather not spend time fixing a manuf. defect if I can just have a new one sent to me -- but hey thats just me.
