For those wondering… the highlight of this DCF870 model is that it uses a hydraulic impact system. The advantage this provides is slightly less noise and vibration. These issues matter for pros that use this tool frequently and especially in confined spaces, such as HVAC installers, plumbers, etc. The other two popular impacts are the DCF850 and DCF860. The 860 is a torque beast for its size (about 200 ft lbs) but is bigger and heavier than the other two. The 850 is tiny, quite powerful (about 150 ft lbs) and light. By comparison, this DCF870 only has about 40 ft lbs. Considerably lower torque, but remember, its focus is saving your hearing and joints in the long term… for pros.

Edited to fix some autocorrect nonsense and typo in the model number.

Looks like $15 ($10 +$5 coupon) cheaper than last time!!
Good deal, free shipping, and no tax charged for most (all?).
Also $50 for the 18650 cell 5ah w/ this tool as well (old picture, not sure if it'd be old stock or new)

I guess I could worded that better...
Last time this tool was posted it was $169, so $10 cheaper right there + $5 coupon. So $15 cheaper total than last time it was posted.

Noob question here, why would I need to upgrade to this over their regular stubby impact? tx

This is quieter so you don't need hearing protection, good when working in tighter spaces

Why won't Saturday Flash load off the website. The pictures & price loads for about a 1/2 second and then kicks to a page of text about Flash Sale Saturdays. I tried other browsers same results and my Flash Sale Saturday email just came through and the link produced the same results as earlier this morning.

Wife got me one for my birthday and I absolutely love it. Running it as slow as possible like right out of the box is a trip. Drives fast enough for the girls I go out with and feels neato and is quieter, but you're still driving screws so it's not like Hollywood quiet.

Not really reason enough to upgrade, but if you liked the direction the Milwaukee surge was headed (hydraulic, less violent) this is that "done right" as they let Milwaukee release the first version.
Functionally, they both are small and drive screws fast.

Lowe's price matched for me via chat. I wanted to get it locally, in case I ever have any issues. Thanks OP!
