I tried this and hated it. Was much happier with the Mr. Bar-B-Q Powered by Scrub Daddy from Lowe's.

I can't imagine a nylon brush would work well. Then again, a doctor friend scared the heck out of me about using a steel brush, too, so I only use the wooden paddle grill cleaner now. (Apparently, some kid got a piece of metal brush stuck in his throat once and was in pain for weeks, but the doctors couldn't figure out why. Eventually, the doctors did some special MRI to find it then performed a surgery to remove it.)

My wife works in ENT, it's not the most common thing in the world but probably not as rare as most people would think. We also use the Mr. Bar-B-Q and it works great.

The nylon just didn't work. It didn't have the grit that the steel bristles do. The Mr BBQ doesn't use bristles, it's a metal weave with a sponge inside.

Strong enough MRI could have removed it for them.😱
