relative using one with grandstream ata and voip in a semi rural area

also got one for backup with a prepaid card to activate when the hardline goes down
Wow and it's $20?
I only see them for $370
sadly whenever we deal with an outage here, mobile data becomes unusable from congestion. without fail.

You can use it as primary internet. It has built in router function but you do need a switch or access point. Its a pretty cool gadget for this price but you need to be a networking nerd to set it up.

It's plug and play but limited data download to be use as a primary upload.

The glinet Spitz 5g is better, and plug and play for T-Mobile. Put in the 30gb for $10 sim card and it worked right away.

I paid $350 and i get 200 MBps, was worth it ... But to each his/her own.
If that is your primary home internet connection maybe it is worth it, but for once a year emergencies or for travel the 4G is perfectly fine.

I have a 3rd party carrier so i had to enter the APN and you have to do that via the 192.168.5.1 blah blah blah.

This thing works great for my needs. I use it for ring cameras at my storage unit. Popped in a sim from a free tmo line i never used & serves its purpose.

Does Voice line work? Or has to be dedicated data line?

To use as a landline one of these is used.

Otherwise VOIP with a data only SIM works.

Not sure how a plan with talk/text/data works using an ATA or without. I haven't yet tried these and this is what I know so far.
