Yeah. Their RP 5000s and 8000s seem to be on sale fairly regularly, at $259 and $400 respectively, for singles. Much better than R line

That's a great deal. They are just ugly. Kind of like Crown XLS amplifiers are just amazing for the price but the absolute ugliest amplifiers

Yes. Worth it to spend another $300 and get the Reference Premier 8000 line on sale.

The RF-82 II (2010) was the last well built Reference speaker with titanium tweeters & ceremetalic woofers. After the RF-82 II, Klipsch shifted the Reference line to aluminum tweeters & cheaper "Injection Molded Graphite" woofers while keeping titanium tweeters & ceremetalic woofers for the Reference Premiere series (2015).

The RP II series now uses silicone composite tweeters, which are clearly cheaper than titanium, but some people may prefer them for a less bright sound.

Personally I'm very satisfied with my RP-280FAs (titanium) and their detailed sound for home theater and gaming.

Adorama is a criminal outfit. Read the reviews on consumer affairs. The kind of criminal that is not only inept, unavailable and if you get lucky and get through to them you will wish you hadn't, apologetic while they are ripping you off and taught to do so. These people are the kind of criminal that cause normal people to wind up on the news after they went postal. Read the reviews on other sites too. You could spend hours and there are about a half a dozen common themes in all of them that would not take Sherlock Holmes to figure out how they do it. I had to write one of my own and low and behold I found hundreds that had uniquely similar experiences.
I never had a problem with Adorama. Ordered many items from them and got what I paid for. Free returns too.

B&H are more stingy (no refunds on shipping costs), but Adorama has always been competitive with other major retailers with free returns and getting what you paid for in my experience.

Maybe you had a bad experience with Adorama, but I've had at least six orders with them that went smoothly, including a return with full refund being issued.
I bought these R-28PF speakers from Adorama for $448.95 back in Feb. 2020. Also purchased the smaller R-26PF from Adorama for $399.99 in June 2018. They are decent speakers if you don't want or have the space for a receiver or other components. My biggest complaint was the highs (for both models) are too bright for me.

Guys, these are powered speakers. You don't need an amp or AVR. For this price they are a steal. Besides this line has been discontinued.

Cool story bro. Literally every business on Consumer Affairs has a 1 star rating.

I would like to see shorter but fatter speakers. I miss those old speakers with large drivers, everything now is huge tall towers with small drivers. They are all focused home Theatre setup.
I just want a pair of nice clean stereo speakers for music.

Years ago I bought my Pioneer AJ speaker towers, and had no problems and they still work great after so many years.

I've had multiple purchases with them, all went well. No complaints.

They do look pretty similar to the F300 Black Series. Price is close too.
