I guess I disagree with many of the comments here.I ordered from them for the first time a few months ago on a similar deal. The shirts were incredibly blousy, and I did an exchange for extra slim fit (Even though I'm 6'2, 210lbs). They paid for shipping both ways on the exchange. The replacement shirts fit great. I was pleased with the quality for $33. I have my dress shirts laundered at the dry cleaners, so I'm not experiencing wrinkles out of the dryer. The craftsmanship and quality is good. I went with the Oxford cloth shirts and am very pleased for the price. I guess I just have a different opinion.
Where do they shop from and where do you send the returns to? Do they ship from the UK or from the US? It seems they have stores in NYC area, Chicago, DC area, Houston and Philadelphia area. If someone lives or travels to the areas where their stores are located, it may be worth trying out the shirts in person.

Can anyone who's had experience with higher end menswear comment on how these compare to brooks brothers, Ted baker, etc? TIA

Non iron dress shirts are not good. They are thin and are constantly wrinkled.
  1. The thinness depends on the material you get (poplin is very thin, but great for those who wear undershirts and keeps you cool in hotter weather, twill is a bit thicker and can go undershirt free but still holds a crease pretty well, oxford is very thick and luxurious feeling at the cost of not holding as pronounced of a crease and being very warm to wear).
  2. These aren't the plasticky wrinkle-free shirts, but release wrinkles very quickly. I have a set of 9 that I cycle through, and I just hang them up in the hotel when I shower and never had to break out an iron (unless the bathroom has no doors and can't hold in any steam at all)

How are the pure linen short sleeves? I have dress shirts and really like them but never bought linens.

I bought a few of the linen shirts 2 weeks ago. I tried them on but haven't really worn them yet due to outside cold weather. They are very comfortable and breathable. Undershirt is recommended because nipples show through, which kinda defeats the airyness of the linen. If you don't want to wear an undershirt, go with a darker linen color. I'm 5'8" 175lbs and M size fits me exact. Linen does shrink a bit, so you'll have to be mindful to wash linen in cold water and air dry only.

Code is dropping the price to $40 rather than $33 per shirt for me. I'm not sure why.

Same!

Just ordered 10 shirts and code "COLE" still worked for me and dropped all shirts to $33. If you jump around different pages too much the code goes away and you have to re-enter to apply the promo again

Anyone know the best weave to make white as little transparent as possible? Was gonna go with herringbone and oxford.

The last time I ordered (~5 years ago) they were shipped from the UK and took about a week or so to receive. That was my last order as I could tell the quality had really went downhill. Most of the shirts from that order only lasted a couple of years and either blew out the elbows or the collar edges frayed. My older Oxfords and Twills are still going strong but the wrinkle-free properties are all but gone and I have to use a combo steamer/iron to get them to look decent.

I'm usually a Kmart/Sears shirt buyer. I'll give these a try - thanks OP.

great quality shirts, people really do notice the difference. you can get away with not dry cleaning them, their wrinkle free is much better.

I can't size you, but I can give my size. I am 5'11", 145 lbs. I wear a 40R Slim Fit suit jacket without tailoring. I wear size 15 / 34 Extra Slim Charles Tyrwhitt shirts.
