I love Life is Strange, but I can't recommend this one until it's in the $5-10 range. Mediocre story that doesn't have a conclusion, but instead a message that there will be a sequel that you can buy where I assume they'll finish the story.
This game was a large loss for Square enix stock and game ends with a cliffhanger. I highly doubt a sequel will be made and could see this game being free on PlayStation plus in a few months or even in the $10 bargain bin.
Horribly written game. Not worth spending money on.

While this isn't the original LiS, longtime fans will be glad to spend time with Max C. again. Highly recommend.

This is a shill comment.

Any longtime fan would already know this is NOT the same Max Caulfield that was in LiS1.

That is because the developer completely changed, this is Max in name only. They are only bringing her back and using her again for profits.

The LifeIsStrange subreddit has torn apart reasons why this Max does not comport to the one in the original game, not to mention the fact that it doesn't respect the original endings at all.

This was a pure cash grab, and SuperPotatoFan is a shill.

As a longtime fan of the LiS series, this is the only entry I didn't bother to platinum. With the return of Max, I really wanted this game to be good, but towards the end I just wanted to finish and be done with it. $30 is a deal on paper, yes, but not worth it for this particular game sadly.

Yeah, this has the dreaded "Didn't meet Square-Enix sales expectations" all over it.

It is the same voice actor, but yeah, I've heard nothing but bad things about the game. I've enjoyed all of them, especially the first which I think is a masterpiece. Max not looking like she did in LiS 1 (even as an older person) should have been a warning, but it turns out that the story is not good.

Calling me a shill was harsh and unnecessary. As someone who has collector's editions and comic books because I enjoy the universe, I accepted the fact long ago that sometimes IP's switch hands. DONT NOD is far better at making these games than Deck Nine, and I'd never suggest otherwise, but I enjoy the characters, the lore, and the universe. I thought Chloe's 'back talk' mechanic sucked and her game was nowhere near as good the original DONT NOD title, but I loved the relationship they built with Rachel Amber and Chloe's father.
Just because a game isn't perfect, or characters didn't develop in the way YOU wanted, OR if the current devs aren't as talented as the original creators, doesn't mean that I'm not allowed to enjoy the current iteration without being called a shill.
I liked the game. And you didn't. End of story. Don't call me names. Grow up.

I thought it was okay. Yes it has woke nonsense and isn't as good as the original, but there are still some interesting ideas in it. Definitely better than LiS 2. Most of the "backlash" is just pointless internet whining like with most things nowadays.

I enjoyed it as well. Some people can't handle their opinions being challenged.
