I have the weirdest problem... when I am looking at the selections for these UHD deals... "oh, I wanna watch that again, oh and that one too!", but then later when they are on my shelf at home... "meh, there isn't anything here I want to watch." But... I keep buying them anyway...
Bad collecting habit. A lot of us here have that problem. That said, I'd rather buy these physical copies than hoard a bunch of digital copies... and then realize in the future that movie I wanted to watch is floating out in the void somewhere behind a username/password I've completely forgotten and/or the license expired and I no longer "own" it.

Story of my life... maybe I watch 1 or 2 a month and buy 5-10.

Great deal if you want to add to your Hitchcock collection, because there's quite a few in here.
just fyi for anyone, the hitchcock movies if you don't already have any and want multiple, they have at least 2 collections of them on Amazon for ~$40 right now. One has Rear window, Vertigo, Psycho, and The Birds. The other has Saboteur, Shadow of a Doubt, The Trouble with Harry, Marnie, and Family Plot
I think the 4 movie collection was ~$34 last Prime Day.

Getting a good deal isn't the same as getting a good movie, and if it isn't a good movie is it really even a deal?

That's the key to a lot of bad shopping habits when it comes to sales. I try to keep in mind with a couple mantras: "I have to love this regardless of price, not BECAUSE it's on sale," and "It's not just the sale price, it's also taking space inside your home. If it were free it'd still cost something." It doesn't always work, but it can help.

I've been having this problem since laserdiscs. I buy to "watch later". I just cleaned out my DVD shelf and I bet I actually watched maybe 5 movies out of the 100 or so.

Here's how I solve that problem.
I create a spread sheet lol. I list the movies based on holidays.
For example: October = horror movies. I'll watch 1-2 each weekend until November.
Veterans/Memorial Day weekend = war movies (December 7th weekend - Midway, Fury, or WWII related)
St. Partricks day weekend = The Departed
4th of July = ID4, Top Gun, Die Hard 4, Edge of Tomorrow, Jaws, etc.
Christmas = Die Hard 1/2 etc.
I even have Super Hero, Monsters, or 3D weekend.
It's about enjoying the movies with snacks popcorn, nachos, etc. I try to not to watch the same movie I already saw the previous year.
I keep buying movies and never end up having the time to watch them. Maybe when the kids are off to college and it's just my wife and I. But that's years away. I do the same for video games, buy and they end up on a shelf.

You should only be buying movies you like.
