I do like these A100 flashlights despite not being able to "lock" into one flashlight mode of operation. The telescoping mechanics to change beam cone size works well IMHO. I'm using them with 18650 batt rather than 3 AAA. They will accommodate either. Note that this 4-pack includes 12 AAA batts and lanyards. At 3-ish bucks per, I think they are slick. Repped.
Serious question what happens when the internal battery dies on rechargeable? At least this way you can replace the batteries.

I have the two-pack and I really don't like that I can't lack one mode but for the $3 a piece, I can't complain.

For that price I can stomach the AAA batteries, but it's suboptimal

Amazon listing doesnt clearly say what 'high lumens' means, but the product description states 2000 lumens.

I have 2 of these, and although they are decent flashlights, the AAA batteries are a no go.

Wouldn't receomment because of the battery situation. Even though i use rechargable batteries, to have to take out the batteries, find the charger, charge, then put them back in, sucks.

I'm only getting rechargeable flashlights in the futre

If you'd like a better quality zoomies that's still reasonably priced, check out the Sofirn S11C. It costs as much as 4 of these, but it's still only around 12 bucks last I checked.

Rechargeable, magnetic, mode memory, good tint and cri, really nice lanyard. Fantastic light for the price.

I've kept one outside for picking up dog poop at night for 2 years 24/7 and it still works great.

I like them for the price. Does anyone know how to open them and get to the PCB? I can't seem to get the top rim off without damaging it.

*I figured it out, I saw a video where the design like this was a plastic ring that holds in the lens. Assuming that I was able to remove the lens and PCB and able to modify the board to be single mode max on off.

Im with you on rechargables, but AA would be preferable (more capacity), and 3, an odd number of batteries, aggravates my OCD.

Are there ANY flashlights that have only a single mode that you can lock into?
