Seems to be a good deal, but consensus is that laptop cases can do more harm than good. Particles can get trapped between the case and the laptop and scratch it. And the tolerance between the screen and the laptop is so thin that some cases could cause screen or hinge damage.

I'm not huge fan of hardshell cases.
Apple hinges are designed for particular weight, adding more to it would for sure affect hinges and overall opening/close experience.
I prefer just put skin/sticker what would definitely do the job protecting surface.

Can the second link be used for M1 MacBook Pros? SD link says M1 also but BB link doesn't.

Got 2, one thing though:
Incase Consumer Service is non existent; I purchased the same case in a different color and after 6 months the case is cracking. Reached out to their site, emailed, even facebook; to no avail (due to this in the past I seldom purchase "Incase"). With that said, their products are great (specially at 10 bucks), but they don't stand behind their products, fyi.

I have the m3 with the 21' incase series, and they are compatible. For both and vice versa. Check the Incase website for more info; lastly, if bad comes to worse, just return it.

Hi there! Amazon advertises these cases as being compatible with all generations listed in the original post. That is where i got the data from. The aluminum chassis has been the same for both platforms for a few years now.

Yeah I agree. I don't think it's terrible if you use it just for travel as someone else mentioned though. urlhasbeenblocked actually has clear skins for the MBA if you want something that doesn't cover the laptop but protects it without damaging it.

Stay far far away from the one for the air. It bends the laptop like crazy. Never thought it would happen to a brand like Incase, but it is what it is

I would definitely recommend NOT getting these as usually cause more problems than they can fix or avoid.

No one recommends them outside of perhaps a specific need case...

I have m1 air and the same dot case. Check your installation and correct product type. Mine doesn't have the problem.
