Breville the Oracle Touch Automatic Espresso Machine with Grinder & Milk Frother, Espresso Maker with Touchscreen, Cappuccino & Latte Machine for Home, BES990BTR, Black Truffle.

Best deal I've seen in a while for a Breville. This is still $2700 on their website. At 1600 it's almost as cheap as the Impress touch, but this one is more automated and has more features.

Phenomenal deal.

I bought this for $2500 at the beginning of the pandemic for work from home. Been using it daily. Already paid for itself for all the money I saved.

The only thing it doesn't do is pour me a cup of coffee.

How does this compare to the Oracle Jet? Is this more advanced?

Amazing discount (but still beyond my pay grade, darn it). I know one of the photos says it has the newer Baratza burrs, but could these actually be older machines with the original burrs? I just know that if I bought one at the regular price and it didn't have the new burrs I would be VERY annoyed. Just a thought.

for 2500 you could have gotten a nice Jura that basically pours you a cup of coffee haha

It's as good as a Jura.

It is an automatic machine, but requires pressing 2 buttons.

Also requires you to move the portafilter from the grinder/tamper to the brew head. Don't doubt you can probably make a better shot on it than Jura, given the additional fine tuning you can do on it though.

I have had this machine for about 5 years now. It's great for convenience, (which I assume a lot of people are buying it for) but if you're serious about your espresso and don't mind the process, I feel like having a nicer grinder will give you better results. The grinder on this machine isn't consistent (I assume I have the old burrs so I can't speak to these "new burrs" someone mentioned in a previous comment). It has a retention rate of about 1-3g which can sometimes change the taste of your drink! I paid a lot more for mine, so at this price, it's probably worth it. But if I had to do it all over again, I would definitely be buying separates. I enjoy the prepping process though. Ymmv

Sidenote: I now use a Baratza sette 270wi and find myself making adjustments far less frequently. But if you're just getting into this hobby, a baratza esp grinder is an excellent entry level grinder that won't break the bank! It's an expensive hobby, so you can periodically upgrade your equipment and learn a lot along the way!

That automation is just something else to break, which is my case is what happened with my fully automatic machine that broke a week after this deal. FML
