Is the circle credit good to use on anything like e-gift cards? For example, can I just apply for the debit card, buy a $50 digital gift card, receive the circle credit, and buy another digital gift card with that credit?

I'm living abroad, so I can have the reloadable mailed to me. Just want to makes sure circle credit works the same as any kind of store credit and can be used on anything and not just limited items.

I don't believe you can use Circle rewards ot purchase a gift card. If you get the reloadable card, since it earns the $50 statement credit, you couild either cash those rewards out or maybe purchase a gift card.

Opened a re-loadable card but seems there's no easy way to add $ to it

EDIT:Was able to use Zelle once I found the routing and account number thanks to the instructions here https://www.targetcirclereloadabl...-transfers

Ok it seems you can access the account and routing number by choosing direct deposit to add money. With Zelle, did it have to make a small deposit to verify bank acct info?

Beware these offers. I opened a Target credit card with the promise of $50 off $50+ purchase. Used that on an order which Target then cancelled for no reason, and was never able to get them to restore the $50 credit.

Odd. I tried adding the reloadable card to Zelle via my Chase account login. It said the reloadable account # needed to be 12 digits (it is 13) so I didn't go through. I then added the reloadable account #s to to my Venmo and it is making small deposits to verify the reloadable account.

Can I cancel my debit card today and sign up again for a debit card?

Or do I need to switch to the reload card?

Is this how it works with the reloadable card:
1. Apply for the reloadable card and activate it.
2. Load at least $50 to the card.
3. Spend at least $50 at Target in one transaction.
4. Target adds $50 back to the card.
5. The $50 (or more) now in the card can be spent at any store that accepts a debit card?

How do you know if you could get approved or not for a debit or credit card? Is the debit card easier than the credit card? So they just do a quick credit check for both or you always get approved for the debit?

I never had any circle card or anything like that. So this would seem like good idea especially for the debit card? Credit card not so much if you have to pay fees if you pay late? I don't pay late and pay right away so which would be better? But you can do the reloadable card as well? So wouldn't that be the best option here as that would be a gift card? So why debit or credit card then if you have other debit or credit card?

Anyone know if you can overdraft on reloadable? I'm thinking of using it when the merchant is questionable and don't want them to steal and use the card. This would only work if they could not overdraft and there are no penalties

I'm not sure yet about the particulars of these Target cards, but typically these are the differences among the card types:
* Credit card: the issuer check your credit history to see if you're trustworthy because basically they will "loan" you the money to cover your purchases and count on you to pay them back.
* Debit card: typically is tied to a bank account, and it's up to the bank to decide how much you can overspend the money you have in your account (overdraft protection) or restrict you to spend only what you have in your account.
* Preload card: similar to a debit card, but you can only spend up to the amount you had loaded to the card, no overdraft.

In terms of risk to the issuer, which determines how hard/easy to get a particular card type:
* Preload card poses no risk to the issuer, so it's easiest to get.
* Debit card poses some risks to the issuer if they provide overdraft protection, so they're will check your banking history, usually through a system called Chex www.chexsystems.com for your history of writing bad checks, closing accounts with negative balance, etc .
* Credit card poses the highest risks to the issuer, and they'll scrutinize your credit history.

If that is the case, isn't the reloadable circle card going to be approved by everyone or is isn't? Is it like a prepaid card similar to like visa gift card where anyone can buy?

I plan to apply for a reloadable card and expect it to be easy to get, but I first want to be sure that the card can be used anywhere (like a VISA GC) and not just at Target (like a Walmart reloadable card). I don't want to load $50+ to it (to cover some overage due to sales tax), spend $50 at Target, get $50 loaded back by Target, and have to use that $50 at Target.

That's what I want to know. Terms and conditions state "Limit one (1) acquisition credit per guest in their lifetime (including RedCard Reloadable Account)."

So I assume that means if you got a sign up bonus previously via credit/debit card you won't get one this time but not sure.
