North Face has become fast fashion. I would not buy from them again.

Got a hole in one of my puffers, they have lifetime warranty but denied it, also did not offer a solution other than f u.

Yeah they are definitely becoming that. I bought a jacket 2-3 years ago and the zipper broke after a month of having it. They did offer to repair it but could have made the process easier since it was not our fault.

Just sent in an old rain jacket two weeks back under warranty for the peeling interior. They just sent me $100 credit. I think I paid less that $30. There are a lot of designs that are meant for fashion, but there are generations of specific models that will last you a lifetime. I have TKA fleeces, a summit series thunder micro, trooper vest, aconcogua vest, etc that I would be devastated to lose.

You are not wrong in that they are fast fashion now, but their warranty still works. It just takes a little bit of social engineering. They are owned by VF co. which recently purchased my former favorite shoe brand, Altra.

Unfortunately, North Face is fast fashion but their products aren't horrible. For bags, I'd shop Osprey. Coats I honestly personally love Patagonia. Their customer service and warranty is the best I've ever used. Also, honestly still like Altra tooπŸ‘Œ

Yah I moved on to arcteryx but I heard they may be moving onto a fast fashion model too... hard to find good clothes nowadays.

Arcteryx is great but a little too expensive for their quality these days.

All the brands have their higher quality product lines too which are significantly more expensive.

Patagonia and Arcteryx also have military exclusive stuff too which is typically better quality. Great if you can find it. I feel like we're on a path to some sort of shift in fashion anyways.
