My personal experience with Blenders. Had them for a little less than a year without issues. Took them into the pool once and splashed around with my kids. An hour later the reflective coating had been eaten away where the water drops were. They actually explain this on the website but I was definitely surprised, never seen that before. I emailed them (one year warranty) and had a new pair in the mail a couple days later, so great customer service.
I own a couple pairs of Blenders and they are okay for cheap sunglasses, especially if you are prone to losing or breaking them. I wouldn't exactly call this a sale as I feel they are not worth more than $20. The retail price of Blenders is inflated. My favorite sunglass brands are Electric, VonZipper, Kaenon, and Smith. I've paid $50-$60 for polarized sunglasses from those companies in recent years when they go on sale. I think its worth the extra money.

I have a pair with translucent grey frames. They are very reflective so light hits them and reflects it back into the eye. I like the shades for $20 but will stick to dark frames in the future

Used to buy these back in the day when they first came out and there were sales. I was happy with a few pairs of aviators I owned from there. Couldn't say the same for any other model. The rest felt like they were cheaper than gas station glasses. Even though I wrote off this brand, I'm still tempted to grab another pair of Aviators for this price but I probably don't need yet another pair of glasses for my collection.

Wish they had some Canyon frames, as I have a handful of those pairs. They do the job quite well for the price. Good deal otherwise.

I like their Romeo frames, but they aren't on sale. Trying a different style and using the paypal $10 back deal found here.

Thanks for the review, sounds like these would be a good option for me. I frequently lose, scratch, and break my sunglasses and have never paid more than $20 for a pair. I usually buy the Kirkland sunglasses they sell in-store in the giant cardboard panel, but over the years they've been getting uglier and uglier.

Another brand to look at is Suncloud. They are owned by Smith Optics. I personally don't own a pair, but have seen them for around $30 on sale and have heard good things.

I have a pair of Blender Romeo's and they are just fine quality. Made by the same brand as Smith. They are definitely more budget friendly but they are just fine for what they are. I wouldn't call them "cheap"

I like their style selection but the one pair I bought on sale previously the polarized coating like just rubbed right off on a significant portion of the lens. And I've seen that complaint in a lot of reviews. YMMV.

Polarized lenses arent coatings but rather film inside the lense so I do not know how that is possible. My guess is the mirror coat was rubbed off?
