The 14600 is faster but is end of life so later gen CPUs will not work and you will need to buy a new motherboard. The 7600 will be upgradeable without buying a new motherboard.

BTW - MSI bundles an OEM (no CPU fan; tray CPU) AMD Ryzen 7700 for $200 (other CPU's offered as well) when bought with some AMD motherboards (for example, the B650 GAMING PLUS WiFi - https://us-store.msi.com/B650-GAMING-PLUS-WIFI)

Small correction... 14th gen processors are the last processors that will be available on the LGA1700 socketed motherboards, BUT these processors, will still be relevant for years and years, Especially if you get a DDR5 motherboard.
AMD's AM5 platform is new, so hopefully they will support it as long as they support (still do...) AM4. AM4 still getting new cpus, refreshes, but still...

I agree if someone wants to buy a computer and just use it for many years without upgrading because they don't need an increase in processing power for what they are doing then 14600 makes sense over 7600.
I was about to pull the trigger, but I'm showing a June delivery date. I still might to lock in the sale and hope it ships earlier and then cancel if something better comes along. I can't believe they let Amazon sell with a 3 month+ delivery time.
