So after using those Gillette one blade, two blade, three blade, five blade, 10 blade, not sure, I gave up because it was too expensive.
Thanks to SD, there was extensive- I mean seriously massive discussion happening on this forum where people swear by how cheap and good the DE blade shaving is and how good it is for skin and all, so some 10 or 12 years back, I switched to wet shaving with DE blade.
I cut myself so many times initially, tried many blades and handles.
Finally, I settled on a Feather DE Blade from Japan. The Japanese know how to make a sharp blade, and it was still my favorite. Also, after trying several handles, I settled on the Merkur Handle. After the initial cost of the Blades, BTW was very cheap, but Handle was a bit expensive. Still, overall, I used wet shaving with DE blade for almost 10 years and it save me not only tons of money, but, boy, every time I look forward to shaving like a morning ritual, it was fun, I have a good setup of Blade, Handle holder, lather and brush. You need to get used and then you will enjoy DE shaving a lot. Believe your skin with thank you later.
Also, once you go wet shaving with DE you won't go back to Gillette again.

The only DE razor I've stuck with is the one from Henson Shaving. Paired with good blades, I get close to zero cuts. It does cost $70, though.
I like how close it shaves compared to a cartridge razor. I only use my cartridge razor when traveling.

edit: just noticed the link I bought are "Hydro" rather than "Hydro 5." Is there a diff?
Pro: You probably won't cut yourself.
Con: You probably won't shave your face.
Find something else - anything else. LOL

I wouldn't worry about buying counterfeits. What I think most people conclude are counterfeits simply reflect their lack of knowledge and unrealistic expectations about shaving. You could take the same razor, shave the same growth at the same sink during the same daily routine with the same shave cream and come out with two entirely different quality outcomes, even if you know what you're doing. Also, a lot of people judge razors by the outcome of their first shave with it. That's a mistake. Performance for new blades increases for the first 2-3 shaves before it starts to degrade, and that degradation is something many won't even notice for 1-2 weeks using a Hydro.
