As it should be for a curved monitor.
The curved screen resolves the viewing angle, generally the IPS monitor advantage over VA panels. However, VA panels have better contrast and more natural picture for watching live content like shows, movies, etc.
On top of that, there are no IPS curved screens that are worthy of buying for gaming/productivity purposes given the few models in existence pricing.
My advice is, test one out and then conclude if it works for your needs or not

Good for everyone who might prefer a new model with a great price from a company with brick and mortar locations all over the US.
If you are talking about parts of your monitor screen was just empty black, it probably was a resolution settings issue which can be adjusted on your laptop. Next time maybe google how to set resolutions or even better ask chatgpt about your situation
What worries me is that 250 nits of brightness.
