This G sheet does a pretty good job of showing what each handheld can emulate and alternative options https://docs.google.com/spreadshe...sp=sharing

I had the 405M (model before this) and it could play up to (some) PS2 games. This is suppose to be able to play a fair amount of PS2/Gamecube and I believe will do some Wii as well. Not quite as powerful as the Retroid Pocket 5 though, so if you want a one stop shop handheld for those systems, and are ok with a 16:9 screen, I would go with that instead (but it is about $100 more than this sale price). This should be a great 4:3 option though, especially with the issues the retroid 4:3 mini has had.

It seems like the very low end $15-$45 devices do up to PS1 and most arcades great. It takes > $200 to do PS2/GC.

What are the advantages of the in-betweeners, like this product? A few GC or PS2 games?
Just your cellphone, it's way more powerful then these devices.

The last time I ordered from AliExpress, most of the stuff arrived with cash owed for insufficient postage. The mailman said the shipper was using counterfeit postage. I sent it back and never even got a refund; they usually closed the transaction as successfully shipped. Place is sketch as hell.

Pay a few extra bucks and get retroid
So should we get the flip with its defective hinges, or the pocket mini where they blatantly misrepresented the screen that was in the device, used bezels to hide part of the screen and firmware hacks to downscale then upscale the resolution which lead to a lot of shaders not functioning properly?

I wouldn't expect any sub $200 device to emulate ps2 decently. I have the Lenovo handheld that was $700 but I haven't even tried ps2 on it yet. I do love the anbernic that looks exactly like the original game boy advance. Just came out a few minutes months ago. I'm not worried about playing anything after 1996 on it tho. $65
That was true a year ago but each new generation has better chips. The 405m used to retail for 200 and has a weaker processor than this does.

This has never what happened to me before. I placed dozens of orders and never had an issue with shipping or delivery. Everything has been flawless.

if you get the Welcome discount, even if you had an existing account that you've made orders on, you can do the following to get a $20 discount:
  1. add the RG 406H to your cart
  2. add this cheap RG 406H case to your cart which costs $0.99, https://www.aliexpress.us/item/32...pt=glo2usa
  3. your cart should then show a $20 discount for purchasing from multiple stores, without any promo code needing to be applied
this comes out to about $131 before tax which is actually $3 cheaper than the bundle mentioned in OP that comes with the case.

Liar.
Sugar, if you've had nothing but positive experiences dealing with Aliexpress, I am genuinely envious. I am telling you what my last experience with them was, and what the postal carrier told me. The Reddit group for Aliexpress claimed that someone stateside sold millions of dollars in fraudulent postage to China, so maybe the shippers I was dealing with weren't even aware. I don't care either way, I'm just not paying for shipping twice.

Parenthetically, your mama is a liar and also smells bad.

who are you to claim someone's experience is a lie?

that's great that you've had good experiences, which are entirely dependent upon the seller of your item, which was likely different than Consumer_cat's seller.

Some YouTubers dog on the 405v and 406v. But I prefer vertical handhelds, and these are chunky but super comfortable. Probably my favorite smaller handheld. The 40xxv looks great too, is way cheaper but lacks the power and the second analog stick.

For the price, this is the 4:3 4" screen device to get 👍

And yes, some 16:9 devices around the $200 mark can do slightly more, but IMO those have different use cases.
