FWIW, I've had two of these drills replaced under warranty within the first two hours of using each. Love my LXT stuff, but there's something wrong with this design -- and no, it's not a problem with how I'm using them. Haven't dared use the third one (second warranty replacement) until I have no other option. YMMV.

Deal is dead.

It looks like it's live again.

odd, no chance its fake i guess, not for second one... but, could battery be damaging them?

Nope, definitely not fake. It was the same mechanical failure both times -- gears started chattering and then skipping after drilling just a handful of holes in normal concrete blocks. I'm a big LXT fan, but I wouldn't buy this again.

i got this deal a while back and i was surprised that it came in just a bag. no cardboard boxing. Just some documents and the tool. It looks like the real deal, but it's sketchy when it's sold that way.

Was Amazon the seller or was it a third party? If the latter, it could be part of a set that was split up or maybe a refurb.
