But, of course, that's having played them when they came out. I can still enjoy them. But it's hard to say if someone playing them for the first time would.
A lot of modern games incorporate stealth into their games. But I think stealth gameplay in most modern games falls short of the stealth in the first two games of the series.
Deadly Shadows was a disappointing sequel (they changed game engines). Although, it has one level called 'The Cradle' I think, that was considered one of the best gaming experiences.
The less said about the most recent Thief game, the better.

Cons first.
I played Thief II in mid 2000s. The graphics were very dated and blocky then, and would be ancient by today's standards. It turned me off a bit.
Pros:
The main character, Garrett (iirc), is awesome. I was drawn to him, his world, and the level design. This kept me going despite how hard the game was. There were many times I wanted to quit, but the plot propelled me forward.
All in all, these are fun, but I would only recommend if you like stealth games, and has patience to get through them. The secret passages and clues make each level very interesting. But not for anyone looking for a light, easy stealth game.

Thief was one of the first games I played on the XBOne and that game was a bug-riddled mess, got to about 95% completion and then the last mission was broken so the game couldn't be finished. Never bothered to go back to see if they patched the game...
Still, for this price it might be worth trying to take another trip down memory lane....
The $6.66 subtotal for all 4 games is a nice touch...

Now that I will finally have a PC, gonna grab 1 & 2 to see where it all started.
I have the last Thief somewhere in my PS4 back catalog as I got in on the cheap- yet to play it, but I know it got brutal reviews compared to what came before.
There is a patch needed to make Thief: Deadly Shadows work. If you don't install the patch, you can't progress past the first lockpickable door in the tutorial, you're just stuck.
The Thief 2014 game that nobody recommends was a free giveaway on Epic Games last year. So you may already have it, or it may come back in the future since many giveaways are repeated.

And for any Thief fans out there not aware of the Fan Mission community - there are many fan missions out there, HD mods, etc that modernize the game. Additionally, there are a couple of die-hard fans that spent the last 7 years making an entirely NEW Thief Series called 'The Black Parade'. This is a FULL Thief game with all original story line, missions, and maps. Uses the same engine, sounds, etc - the main character is NOT Garret (the only draw back in my opinion) but I consider this fan-made "Thief 5" 95% as good as the original series. It IS a Fan made mod and it is not stand alone (you need Thief to run it) but it is a fully developed story line and progression towards an end game. I can't recommend the Thief series and this new Thief The Black Parade enough!

The digital comic is exactly what it says it is - just a digital comic based on the game.
Buying the full franchise and all DLC on Steam is really really cheap so really no harm in just dropping down the $10 or $15 as you wont be disappointed either way. That's on Steam - on GOG the games are like <$1 !! and you're not tied to the Steam ecosystem (GOG lets you download full stand alone DRM free installations of the games so even if GOG disappears you still have the games.)
