Seconded to vandhrey. Run. This ecosystem is and has been on life support, and Google on a whim could kill it like they do many things. Still salty about Chromecast...

Can't stand the Google Home app. I can still use the Nest app for my thermostat, doorbell, and IQ Camera. Would love to have another camera but I'm a big NO on their app.

I'm quite happy with it. They have the best presence sensing to reduce notifications. Have great video quality, the free 3 hours history is just enough, and you know it's secure with the Google brand attached. The paid subscription tiers have nice features.
I've personally used the doorbell, indoor cam and hub for about 3 years now.
