Hopefully, someone can answer my questions. I currently have a Chase Sapphire Preferred which I applied in June 2021 and received my bonus in the statement on July 10, 2021. Should I wait a couple days after July 10, 2025 and downgrade the current card? Assuming the deal is still live, Can I apply for the new card a week after the downgrade? What happens to my existing points? I would really appreciate if someone can answer. TIA

It depends. Sometimes they have different offers at the branch. I got mine without a fee at a branch office, while the online offer included the fee.
