How does this compare to the iPad Air M2 that's at Walmart? Is the Air worth the extra $150?

The regular iPad is for casual users.
Unless you need a specific need for the performance, just go with the regular one.

Both models have the same battery life according to the Apple's website.

Up to 10 hours of surfing the web on Wi-Fi or watching video

Grabbed a Blue one earlier. Selling the 64GB model I got last month. I bought two. One is mounted on the wall as a Home Control unit, and the other one is still sitting in the box.

Depends on your needs. If you're planning on just doing simple tasks like web browsing, playing light games, & streaming content, the iPad A16 is more than capable. You can use the extra money and get accessories and such for it. Hope this helps

The M1 iPad is still a great iPad for all tasks. The only thing I'll be concern about is the storage as the iPad A16 has 128GBs. So it depends on what your needs are.
