Label Makers like These are always emphatically bad deals - here's why
1) Use a template in word or google docs to simply make many labels at once on one sheet of normal paper
2) print that paper out at any normal printer
3) cut each label to size
4) Use TAPE to adhere it to whatever you're trying to label.
5) Enjoy! Smudge proof, waterproof too (if you covered it well)
I can't tell you how many jars I've "labeled" with packing tape over a slice of paper. But I can tell you they have survived the dishwasher for decades that way.
You'd be hard pressed to spend 20$ on all of those things combined. The only thing you need is access to a black and white printer to print ONE sheet - which can be quietly done at many people's jobs... no questions asked
Printing labels then cutting them and taping them on is to much trouble for something I do at most once a month. This little $10 printer works fine

I use this to put directions on tinctures I harvest and sell. You can use colored labels too. It does a great job but like someone said in the comments, it wears away which is true. I paid 19.99 and feel it serves my purpose for it. You can use labels from Shein if you transfer the tag from original roll to counterfeit roll

It is a cheap BT printer with an okay app that is wonderful for simple label use cases!
The label and itself is not very durable so it's not good for things that get wet or left in hot places. The adhesive is not as sticky.
In contrast, my Dymo label survives going through dishwasher for kids water bottles. I have both
It's perfect for storage bins and folders and boxes.

Masking tape + handwriting + packing tape would work just fine for one-off jobs like that.
