It's not just hippies, and it's not just left or right. Lots of BS on the internet that people just swallow these days. The dose makes the poison, everything in moderation. I pan fried salmon the other day and considered airfrying it as a healthier option but then my rub would have blown all over the place and made a mess. Everything has tradeoffs. And yes, my rub had sugar in it because I happen to like flavor; I can still run a 5k despite the "damage to my metabolism."

I really don't care what nonsense people choose to believe, if they want to limit their diet or cooking to reflect that? More power to them. But I do hate how every deal on SlickDeals involving food has the health purists weigh in like they are doing us a favor.

Please no, we don't need any more nonsense from him.
I take it back. Eat a bunch of seed oils.

There was some junk science story going around the internet about seed oils being bad for you. It has been completely debunked, but the hippies still believe it anyway. Our country is hopeless lol.
Gotta love the "fact-checkers"

Agree with most of what you said but I don't mind people chiming in if there harmful ingredients in stuff as long as they can back it up
I truly believe based on research I've done this is one of the worst categories of foods we consume today. I have no agenda other than trying to help people who are struggling to understand why their health isn't where they want it to be.

I probably won't be commenting anymore on these things because it's not really appreciated by this audience, no problem, was just trying to help.

A question for you though. If it was 1970 and you were smoking a pack a day, would you want someone to tell you "hey we have basically smoking gun proof these things will put you in an early grave"?

I'm all for free will and personal choice and freedom, do whatever makes you happy.

Counter point.. it's the 1970s and you warn me about the danger of MSG... which isn't actually a danger and has since been debunked.

This sort of example can go both ways. Not every perceived danger is in fact harmful and worthy of giving a warning. Also, again... the dose makes the poison.. smoking a pack in a day is a high dosage. If you are using cooking spray in a reasonable manner then it's likely a non-issue. What is "reasonable" is what's debatable.

With the gift of hindsight, even a single cigarette per day is best avoided.
