Not bad at $5 a plug. No energy monitoring or Matter compliance, but great "gateway drug" smart home devices that are as plug and play as it gets. Perfect for "away" mode if you're on vacation or away from home for an extended period, handling randomizing clickety-clickety of plug in lamps during evening hours to make it look like someone's home, or to turn on a downstairs lamp in the morning on a scheduled basis when you get up and go downstairs, or to have your coffee maker kick off 15 minutes before your alarm goes off every AM. And of course holiday lighting. Time to hop off the fence.

This (and the energy one) frequently come to this price (or 28 for energy) so don't feel like you have to stock up, BUT these work quite well with either the tapo app or google/alexa voice commands. As a data point I bought these for this price 6-7-24, and the energy ones at the $28 price 11-8-24 you can see the price fluctuation (or lack thereof) on the various zon price trackers (the energy monitoring one fluctuates more, the non energy one has really been this price much more often than not since march '24)
