Mine arrived yesterday. The 4.99 is probably rotating to different packs, as Nate says the blue one is 4.99 now.

These are okay. I recommend "foam freezer bricks" - these keep cool a lot longer in my personal experience. You are paying more for longevity, so in case anyone is all "hurr hurr thread crapping" - negative. Just providing options for people who don't have time or OCD/autism to test other stupid stuff. Apples vs oranges comparison, however. But still fruit!

I don't think these stay frozen much longer than regular water ice. You know what's slick? A frozen water bottle! Then when you're done you don't have some stupid blue chemicals to lug around; you just have a bottle of water.

I got these little zipper seal bags and put water and frozen peas in it. Ice pack with water and a snack. Booyah!!

But yeah these are just colored water...
