This will be my first, after a lot of Youtube etc research and consideration. Given how cheap these things are and the variations and different form factors, seems easy to end up with a pile of these.

I think this will fit all my needs for a while, trying to find the goldilocks option between my intended uses (various Nintendo consoles, plus some Genesis and PS1, with an ability to "consolify". I'm setting a rule that I can't buy another one in 2025, I have to wait until at least an entirely new generation of devices is released. I'm trying to avoid the temptation to buy individual handhelds for just for specific consoles. I'm betting/hoping that a comfortable control layout and a nice screen that's adaptable for all non-widescreen content will suit me nicely. We'll see how well I resist, and how much I actually use this thing once it's set up!

I am marked safe from "buying individual handhelds for just for specific consoles" because I did not qualify for the promo code, lol. This thing is supposed to be ideal for Pico 8, which is starting to appeal to me, but I am only biting at sub $50, and preferably $30's.

This is a toy, the Legion Go is a handheld PC.

If you just want to emulate old systems (8 and 16 bit eras) though, this is all you need.
