What is the allure here ....no taste and six measly grams of protein for 50 cents a bar? a slice of whole grain toast has 4 grams and 3 grams of fiber for less than 15 cents

I mistakenly ate two fiber one bars, one after the other, and was able to float a single solitary air-biscuit across an entire parking lot.

Was so relieved. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ’จ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ’จ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ’จ

It has 10% more iron than a milligram of iron has.

I guess for those who are looking for a lower-calorie candy bar... Funny enough, I was just looking at the nutrition on my english muffins for my breakfast sandwich, and the macros are just about the same - 120 calories, 5g protein, 4g fiber. And without the bloating effects of chicory root as the 1st ingredient!

Technically, the protein from soy and whey concentrates (in Fiber One bars) would have a higher score (look up DIAAS - Digestible Indispensable Amino Acid Score) than the gluten from a wheat product like your toast or my english muffin, so the protein bar would provide a higher quality protein if it matters that much to you. At the end of the day you're still looking at minuscule amounts (5-6g) versus a whole day's eating, where the bulk of your protein will likely come from meats, soy, or protein powder which will all have a better DIAAS anyway.

Agreed. Just picked up the 10/10/10 (grams prot, carbs, fat) Nature Valley peanut/choc protein bars at Costco at 30 for $10.50.
