About this game:
- Immersive Gamplay – Sculpted miniatures capture Sphinx, Yeti, Jiangshi, and Cthulhu in exquisite detail. The devil is in the details with rich illustrations and bits of lore about this unique doorway between worlds and its mysterious stewards.
- New Gameplay – Love Horrified: Universal Monsters and Horrified: American Monsters? Horrified: World of Monsters includes a lair mechanic and the Horrified series' first multi-phase challenge. After you defeat Cthulhu, can you seal them away... for now?
- Replayable and Flexible –– Choose different combinations of monsters every game to experience new strategies and tactics. Horrified is your next game night favorite... or enjoy the included solo mode!
- Combine for More Thrills – Horrified: World of Monsters is compatible with Horrified: Greek Monsters. Use the included instructions to mix and match monsters from both games for even more monstrous combinations.

The different Horrified games have some different mechanics, they're not just direct reskins.
Universal Monsters(Dracula and Frankenstein, etc) and American Monsters(Bigfoot, etc) seem to be the preferred versions if you're to only grab one Horrified game. I think you could have a successful night learning these from the rules that came in the box.
Greek and World of Monsters versions are considered to have less clearly written rules and be less balanced / more difficult. Both of these versions have a variety of unofficial and official errata/rules clarification FAQs you'd want to grab before trying to learn.
My gaming group, some of whom can struggle with more complicated games had fun with Universal Monsters through a couple of plays. I have Greek Monsters but have never gotten it to the table. Since I'm usually stuck being the Rules Whisperer for games, it's always hard to bring out a new game when the rules as written are a bit vague.
Figurines are a nice bonus

Agreed. It plays out more like a story than strategy, so it's definitely entertaining in that sense and the pieces are a nice quality too ☺️

It's the Universal horror monsters (https://a.co/d/4MA6jhp) - Dracula, mummy, Frankenstein's monster...
I was thinking it was just reskins, but even if not, you'd only want one version.

For the price this is an excellent starting point. I would rank the games as follows:
Universal monsters
Greek
Cthulhu
American
