I've looked and never seen them in the warehouse. You can always look in the app under warehouse and search for them.
I bought a Brita pitcher that came with an elite filter and the difference was definitely noticeable compared to a regular Brita filter. Specifically, the taste and how long the filter lasted. I thought my water tasted much better for much longer with the Elite filter. I don't remember how many months I got out of it, but it was at least 2x longer than a regular one. I go through a regular one about every 2 months. The only downside is the water filters much slower with an Elite filter.

Edit: I should add I live in the Bay Area and we don't really have hard water and our tap water is pretty good to start with.

I wish Costco would bring back the Kirkland filters to the warehouse.

Any studies done to confirm Brita's claim of filtering out 3X more contaminants?

Are these worth it? I use PUR and use the Brita to initially filter the water before going to the PUR filter.

Great deal, I almost paid this for the 2 pack last year on Amazon. Mine just ran out so grabbing this. Thanks!

Oh yeah and these definitely last close to the 6month mark and taste seems to be a little cleaner than standard filters.

These definitely do not last 6 months as they claim. I got about 4 out of mine but the last month was painful as it takes literally an hour to fill a pitcher. I do agree that the water does taste noticeably better so really up to you if you think the extra cost is worth it.

It's more so about how many Gallons it can filter (120, vs. 40 for the regular Brita filter) than the length of Time it lasts for. These Elite filters are rated for 120 gallons. If you filter 2 gallons a day, it'll only last you 2 months (60 days). If you filter 1 gallon a day, it'll last 4 months (120 days). Brita just says "6 months" because they came up with the conclusion that people on average will filter about 2/3 of a gallon per day, leading to their calculation of 6 months (180 days) to filter the rated 120 gallons. If you filter more than that per day, it'll last less than the stated 6 months.

How are you all deciding when to change these filters? I've got the Kirkland pitcher with the little LCD bars (displays bars, when empty change filter), but I assume the number of open/close cycles varies from the Elite vs normal filters.

The description recommends "replace your water filter after 40 gallons or approximately every 2 months". That's exactly the same recommended replacement cycle for a regular Brita filter. I don't understand how it translates into the claim that "Brita Elite lasts 3x longer". Anyone care to illuminate?

Filtering out 3X more contaminants in 6 months compared to 2 months of standard filter?
or Filtering out 3X more contaminants per gallon than a standard filter?

Not sure on the description, but my replacement light on my pitcher has two reset options (white filter and blue). I accidentally reset with blue (elite) once while using standard and it went well past when it should have come on. They definitely treat the two differently.
