Sounds like there are software issues and subscriptions to pay for to use all the features.

Good deal for a good garage opener. Don't use the camera features to avoid the subscription.

I just bought a house which came with chamberlain lift master model 85503. It has myQ, Wi-Fi and a integrated camera in the opener and I tried everything but was not able to connect to the myQ app. Called the customer service and after a lot of hassle, they said that the logic board has some issue and they shipped a new logic board. However getting it replaced is going to cost me 200$+. I'm wondering if it is even worth getting the logic board replaced (or replacing it myself as I might break something that's working). Will I need any subscription to connect to myQ app and also be able to see garage video? P.s. I see I also have a myQ hub but not sure how to connect to that either

I bought this and had it installed. Decided to go with a standard keypad. The app is good for checking to see if you left your door open and easily opening or closing the door. I'm not interested in other smart features on garage door.

I had to replace my logic board a few years ago on my Chamberlain opener. It could not have been easier. Think it was one cable to remove and a few screws to take the board off. Then just put the new board in, a few screws, and install the cable.

I understand not being technically or mechanically inclined and being afraid to do something that sounds scary. If you can plug in a lamp and use a screwdriver, you can do this.

As far as myQ, many people use RATGDO(https://ratcloud.llc) or My favorite is Gelidus Research based RATGDO (https://www.gelidus.ca/product/ge...-usb-c-v2/). Other options are Meross(https://www.amazon.com/meross-Com...B084Z5QZR2) or Konnected(https://konnected.io/collections/...or+Openers)

Lots of options to replace the default myQ integration.

Managed to get last years Costco model for $129 when they cleared them out. Only has lights on one side but has a built in camera. No video keypad.

Might happen again this year. Was early summer.

It's a good deal at this price. Ultra quiet and good safety features. Auto open if something is under it and doesn't trip the laser.

Do note that it was not comparable with my old sensor wires that ran in the frame. Had to surface mount the new wires that's included. It needs one run to each laser. In the past on builds they would meet in a j box and run a single wire the rest of the way.

The My Q video features are actually very well done. During the free sub it would say who was in the garage using facial recognition.

I would have subbed if it was like $20 a year. But the price they want is insane.

I wish ring would come up with that.

It was nice to know if it was the kids or wife
