seems decent. harbor freight 40 ft, 14ga is $83. Don't know this brand. only 1 review. a little strange to me that it has a 15a breaker built in when the 12ga wires could handle more (maybe due to the 65ft length).

I was wondering the same thing but noticed that company specializes in all retractable devices.

Am I missing any mention of test/certification? UL, CE, NRTL, etc.

I just said the same thing. Lol. I learned long ago not to buy "Backyard" electrical components.

I had a bad experience with a 50 foot extension cord that was listed on SD back around 2015. The male end literally melted onto my Predator generator outlet plug, and it was only powering a couple LED work lights. By the time I caught it, most of the plastic end was melted, exposing the wires. Had to use a Dremel with a small cut off wheel to get the plug out and the melted plastic off the generator. That was the last time I purchased no-name electrical ANYTHING.

If you type "UL Listed" into the questions on the amazon page it says that the item description says that it's UL listed, but I don't see that anywhere...tried searching on the UL Listing database but I think you'd need the numbers off the product tags which aren't on the Amazon listing. Of course there's no helpful manufacturer website or online owner's manual that might have the info...too bad because otherwise I'd be tempted to get one of these, but without at minimum a UL listing I wouldn't risk it to save a few bucks...

12ga will run about 50 to 75 feet at 20amp depending on voltage load before drop off. So you are correct in your assumption

Yeah, but that voltage drop can be pesky on certain things like power tools, heaters, etc.

Thinking of buying this to retrofit a pressure washer hose to wash the car. Seems like a lot of people are mounting DIY system them (washer and all) to their garage walls. I'm thinking 50 foot pressure hose might fit in this (and still retract). Has anyone done this (most use the Amazon basics retractable garden hose reel from what I've seen). This looks better/ has a housing.

Edit:
Checked dimensions
‎13.78 x 13.39 x 7.72 inches seems too small to fit press. hose
