This has a higher ppi than a 32" 1440p monitor which has the same ppi as a 24" 1080p monitor. No one does work on those I'm guessing?
in reality, most would agree that display size comes first, and for those who solely focus on "Retina display" at 300ppi, you wouldn't be looking at this 39 inch monitor in the first place.

TVs arent usually being watched from 1-2 foot distance. If so then an 83" oled would look terrible compared to a 55"
This has a higher ppi than a 32" 1440p monitor which has the same ppi as a 24" 1080p monitor. No one does work on those I'm guessing?

Your later take about distance is the correct one, which is why you also need to consider anyone buying a flat 32in is never going to be able to sit at the same distance as a 27in ( at least not comfortably ) because you would need to physically move your head to see the edges. Had used a 32in curved for 3 years before reddoing my setup for a g9. During the swap and downtime, the temporary 27in I had to use felt unbearably small.
Unless you're speaking from actual experience I would probably hold off on these takes you're sourcing from the Internet.

Ppi, after a certain point, does not matter for work purposes. If you're quarreling over text fringing, your job isn't nearly as important as you think it is.
