If these are selling at $950 right now, I suspect by the holiday season 2025 they'll be $700-$750. That'll be a steal!
I doubt the recent Intel version will go that low for another 18 months!

Snapdragon SP11 is smoother than intel. Intel 256v feels like a quite efficient clunky shit box and the battery life is not very good (better than all previous intels but no better than new AMD and any ARM chips).

I have owned SP11 base model, SP11 business, vivobook s14 and some other models. 226v and 256v feels like a VERY slow CPU. The windows stutters pretty bad. Way worse than a smooth desktop. The ARM laptop just feels like a phone. Super smooth all time.

Also, SP11 all has its screen flash/flicker after unlocking. I have tested more than 20 surfaces. With a device smooth like that, a stutter really hurts your experience.

Funny that a few months ago, you said "snapdragon is trash".

He's simply learning from the President, specifically from his handling of crypto and Tiktok ban.

no it's not a deal
macbook air m4 with 16gb/256gb cost the same, unless anyone has a specific needs for snapdragon windows on a tablet, this is not a good deal at all.

maybe $500 will get someone to try it out just because its cheap enough.

Not everyone needs/wants Mac OS. And a few folks also do want a tablet form factor over clamshell - or else MS would have discontinued the Surface Pro line years ago.

I own an M4 Pro Macbook and have had 4 generations of Surface Pro (+ everyone in my immediate family uses the Surface Pro as their primary device). The Surface has been my favorite personal computing device ever purely on account of its ultraportability, and the fact that it's a laptop/full OS in a tablet form factor. I use it as a laptop 80% of the time and it's perfect for my everyday personal needs. It sure as heck will be a steal for me and/or my family at $750. While I'd prefer the latest Intel version at that price, there's nothing in my everyday personal needs that *demands* x86.

Surface is definitely not the worst. That crown would go to the "midnight" versions of the macbook. Speaking from experience as I own both.
