I like the fact that you can keys these all to use the same key without a lock smith. All the locks gor.my house are key to the same key including dead bolts.

Agree - the "SmartKey" compatible locks are the way to go.
I'm pretty sure the pictures show both sides, not one side with a handle and a deadbolt.
Most doors already have a handle lower latch and above it a deadbolt.
If you remove that deadbolt and install this, the door will then have two handles on each side
I have 5 of these on my property. There is no deadbolt included with this handle. The knob on the back switches is from locked (which requires a code input to turn the handle) and unlocked (which does not require a code to turn the handle).
The worst electronic lock EVER. I have one and first of all it broke after 3 months. I don't have to tell you the panick when you cannot get in/out of your house, not to mention the cost to getting a locksmith. Second, if you don't want it to auto lock, you have to put the inside knob on the upright position like the photo. But when you open the door, you easily bump it which I ended up taping it. Horrible design. The company sent me a replacement higher model because the model I had was disconnected. It is cheap for a reason. You get what you pay for. I'd rather get a cheap no name electronic lock elsewhere on amazon if you have to get one for yourself.

So I would assume if you have an existing deadbolt you can upgrade to this while using the previous deadbolt?
