I was thinking the same thing. I haven't really bought TP in a long time since I stocked up but this comes out to $0.388 even including the GC. This looks very very bad.
Starting on March 30th, another way to add to savings is apply for the $15 rebate on purchases over $50 via P&G:

Ugh, the damn redirects force you away from the right page. It is:

Thanks for the date catch dudemansir!

Yes. The size of the ones sold on Amazon are different than ones sold at Costco.

Amazon size per sheet is: 3.92in by 4in.

Costco size per sheet is: 4.2in by 4.5in.

One roll on Amazon is 26.3sqft versus Costco which is 27.8sqft. Costco is a better deal, especially when they have a sale.
I wonder which calculation makes more sense- per square or per sqft. And where is the regulation to standardize toilet paper size Wink

I see a price of $57.98 (or $28.99 each) for 2 x 24 Mega rolls. Does the price depend on location, or is the deal dead?

The way I see it is the Mega 30 packs are 32.99 which is about $2 more than what I just saw at Costco (30.99). Is that $2 more worth the mega rolls. No idea but it has to technically be more paper overall right? That with the $15 card should make pretty damn close if not cheaper than Costco.

Naturally, this Target $15 ends on 3/29 and the P&G starts on 3/30. There's a chance that a similar Target deal appears to stack before the P&G rebate disappears on 6/15, but maybe not.

I had this long post written, but the variety of red-label MEGA / XL / XXL at Target make the math more difficult. Suffice it to say, Target has a better cost/square, over Amazon, when you look at the MEGA XXL variety, like under $0.0052 a square. However, Costco's cost / square is only: $0.00515 -- and this is Costco's normal price. The price / square gets better when Costco runs their quarterly TP deal.

And... Costco's square size is larger than anything offered by Amazon / Target. I cancelled my Amazon order and will order from costco.com.
This is why you should compare per 100sqft not per sheet.

This stupid games they play with TP reminds me of shopping for a mattress. Slightly different so it's a PITA to compare

There's technically a window, since Target has their weekly ad promotions end at 11:59 PM PT, so eastern/central time zones can potentially take advantage.

I'm just not sure how Target handles the invoicing for these case, if it'll show as purchased on 3/30 (and thus eligible for the rebate) for those not living in PT time zone.
