I recently bought their batteries with the 5000w all-in-one inverter to build a mobile battery station (off-grid). The app does not work. Even getting the app installed took quite some effort. The app for this inverter is called SmartESS which can be downloaded thru Google Play store. If you follow their instructions, you would have to install a third party (China) app store to get to SmartESS. I did not like getting the Chinese app store installed but no choice and deleted afterwards.

As of now, I am only using the inverter manually thru the main interface on the inverter with buttons. (no remote access as the provided wifi module does not work between app and inverter). I would have to manually push button to change setup. If you don't care about the manual setup/change, it is still good value. Otherwise, I suggest to stay away.

Ecoworthy, if you are reading this, you need to get the app working before people will buy your inverter.
The inverter is a srne rebadge. Try the srne app https://play.google.com/store/app...androidapp
Also, most use a comprehensive app called Solar Assistant.

Are these specs ture? This inverter has a 80 amp charger built in? And can this setup really output a sustained 5000 watts and 10,000 watt surge?
I'm regularly charging @ 50+a from solar without issues. I've put a continuous load of about 4,500w for about 1/2 hr, just to see how it would do. No problem. My typical loads are in the 1-2kw range. I've had it in service for over a year.
I'd check the cell voltages on the battery as it approaches full charge. I have 2 of the batteries, both of which I had to top balance, due to "runner cells" triggering a single cell overvoltage at the top. Since top balancing, I've had no issues with the batteries.

What's the AC on no load power consumption?
AIO sounds good, but if most of the time it is standby, it may not be the best solution.
I have a 3kw AIO that takes 50w on standby. I end up using a separate inverter and solar charger for efficiency and the AIO as backups and rarely used AC charger.

This bundle just seems MEH to me, the inverter seems like it would only be suitable for a solar cart or mobile solution and not a permanent home setup, so it seems like your spending more on something you would normally not buy. I rather just get a way better inverter and not spend the extra money thinking that I will one day use this inverter.

Anyone with a good wire diagram for connecting this to an enphase combiner / system?

I think it is not possible. I have solar with enphase inverter and batteries as well. I built this ecoworthy off grid system to store the excess Solar instead of exporting to PGE for pennies.

And even if it is possible to hook up to the enphase inverter, you are risking warranty if something goes wrong with your solar/inverter setup.

With these new gateway type devices seems to be pretty easy and straight forward now.

It seems like there's always updated version of inverters, batteries, etc. Is this something a DYI person can do?

FlexBoss21 is the inverter, and it's 4 grand at most stores. Very cool hardware & UL-listed; completely different level than this $500 inverter. Where are you seeing it for $1800?

Sould I get this or Ecoflow Delta Pro Ultra?
I have the ecoflow ultra. It works flawlessly and easy but its very expensive. I also have the SHP2. For me, its just hook up and work the app and it works. I'm also happy with paying more money because of the 30% you get back. So the costs aren't that extreme, compared to the initial cost. If its within your budget, the ecoflow with SHP2 is the way to go IMHO.

This is a whole new type of device and honestly seems like they made it so even the most novice of beginners can now do it themselves. Still does not mean you wont need permits or professionals depending on your state if you want to do the full grid tie in though. In the video the wall setup is so simple and clean just straight connections from everything to the gateway no more external fuseboxs/transfer/kill switches/busbars and anything else.

The $1800 was for the grid boss which is the gateway and my quick google search showed it for $1800 at bigbattery.com from the google results, but weird enough when I click on the listing it goes to full price of $2400 which is the norm price it seems.

I bought this recently and still in the process of setting it up - need solar panels. I got it for the same price. Battery is super heavy at 96lb.

I did not want to send my data to China, so I'm going to us Solar Assistance($40?) on a old Raspberry Pi 3 to monitor and capture data. I asked about monitoring the battery via Solar Assistance, and the company sent me a cable I needed for free which was unexpected.

As someone else mentioned it's a rebadged SRNE HYP 5000W.

https://diysolarforum.com/ is probably the best source of info/discussion.

I was thinking of getting this for a smaller DIY system but the controller needing the minimum 120v killed it.
If you have residential panels, that's easy but for smaller panels, that's at least 6 panels in series.
Great price. The Lifepo4 is around ~$800 making the solar all in one $300 is a fantastic price.

Would this the best bang for the buck solution if I want to power an off grid garage? Just add some solar panels and should be good to go since the battery and inverter already come included?

It would likely work depending on your needs, the biggest limitation IMO is that its 120v only unless you get a 2nd inverter for parallel wich adds cost, complication, space demands, etc so I just bought the more expensive deal they have right now that comes with two batteries and a single 10,000w inverter with 240 split phase capability.

Might be overkill, but I do think its better to over size a system unless you can scale up from a smaller system without losses.
