Quality wise, mine has already cracked at the end of the shaft in the plastic fitting right near the head, but is still usable.
The rods are Aluminum alloy, but the problem is the fittings between the sections are cheap plastic, which is the point of failure. It's a mix of good quality stuff held together with poor quality stuff.
